Nutrient Removal and Recovery Conference 2024
The goal of the conference is to showcase novel approaches and provide a platform for water professionals to share cutting-edge technologies and invocations in achieving a sustainable water future. South East Queensland has a very active circular economy movement, and we will be able to leverage local experiences to demonstrate the closure of the economy around water, nutrients and biosolids. The Australian government and utilities have also pledged to reach Net Zero Emissions by 2050 or earlier.
The topics will include:
- Circular nutrient removal, recovery and reuse technologies
- The role of nutrients in the emerging renewable energy economies
- Microbial ecology in new NRR processes
- Greenhouse gases emission and fates of emerging pollutants in new NRR processes
- Mathematical modelling, optimization and control of new NRR processes
- Value-added product for tomorrow’s customers
- Integrated nutrient and water recycling for greener cities and agriculture
