The Berlin Waste Management and Energy Conference is the largest specialist event at the interface between waste treatment and energy in the German-speaking region. On the one hand, current and future-oriented topics of the circular economy and associated energy management issues are addressed from a political, legal and economic perspective in the plenary session. On the other hand, the specialist meetings focus on the technology of waste incineration including the downstream processes up to CO 2-capture and exploitation and on the exchange of operating experiences. In recent years, the chemical recycling of plastics has also become an integral part of the event. The BKAWE has established itself as an annual meeting of the industry and enables an intensive exchange with opinion leaders, experts and decision-makers over two days.
