Phosphorus is an essential nutrient for agriculture – and Germany relies entirely on imports. Starting in 2029, large wastewater treatment plants in Germany will be legally required to recover phosphorus. As part of the BMTFR (Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space) funding initiative RePhoR, seven joint projects have been testing since 2020 how this can be achieved in practice.

Insights and Ideas for Practical Application

Six years of large-scale phosphorus recycling – what has worked, what hasn’t, and what does this mean for practical application? Researchers and industry partners will jointly present findings from RePhoR’s three technical focus areas. A panel discussion and an interactive audience Q&A will provide opportunities for discussion and open questions. Event will be held entirely in German.
