IWA Conference on Sustainable Sludge Management

The rapid growth of the Chinese economy is accompanied by many serious environmental problems, one of which is the deterioration of water quality. To address water pollution problems, China has invested heavily in water and wastewater treatment in recent decades. While these new and upgraded treatment plants have improved water quality, they have also led to problematic sludge development, which now needs to be urgently addressed.

This sludge conference is titled “IWA conference in Sustainable Sludge Management” and will focus on sustainable approaches to sludge management. The knowledge transfer from this conference could be of great importance to both China and the international community. We are very pleased to be able to offer this forum and welcome international experts to meet in China and work together on sustainable approaches to solving this global environmental problem.
